Silent: VS, Korean Army band leader conducting. Cut-ins of memebers of the band playing; cut-ins of the band playing as it marches. Sound Composite: Pres. Rhee making his speech. (First part of this speech in LC 37240.) MLS, of General Taylor making a speech of appreciation and greeting to the men of the new first ROK Army. He expresses his admiration to the Korean officers and men for their devotion to duty. He thanks Gen. Clarke and his headquarters for their work in this great training program. General Taylor makes the same speech in Korean. Pres. Rhee smiles, looks up and starts to applaud softly. After the General's speech, Gen. Rhee in a mixture of both Korean and English congratulates Gen. Taylor.
